How To Disable Google Playstore Application Automatic Updates


Ever recharged your phone at night and woke up seeing all your credit has been wiped off due to Playstore automatic application update? Or you bought a little data bundle and some applications took advantage of it to update themselves automatically without your consent? Then that is about to stop because the error is coming from Playstore.
When using Playstore for the first time or when downloading some applications, automatic update when new versions is available are always activated by default and if you don't disable it from Playstore I'm afraid you will be losing some data or credit each time there is an update for those applications.

There are 2 ways to disable the application automatic update.
1) General Applications Update Disabling.
2) Individual Application Update Disabling

How To Disable All Applications Automatic Update.
This option will simply disable the Auto-update option for all the applications on your Android device.
Follow the below simple steps in order to do so
1. Launch the Google Play Store app on your device.
2. Open Google Play app settings page by either swiping from the left edge of the screen to right, or just by simply tapping the “Hamburger bar” icon on the top left corner of the screen.
3. Now tap Settings >> Auto-update apps .
4. You’ll see a popup window with three options.
5. To disable automatic app update on your device, select Do not "auto-update apps" option.
That's all, if done correctly you’ve disabled the Auto-Update apps feature and you no longer need to worry about battery drain or data charges!

How To Disable Auto-App Update for Individual Apps
Sometimes you might just want to enable or disable auto-update feature for a specific apps or games, you can set your preference individually for each app.

Follow The Below Steps:
1. Launch the Play Store app on your device and go to the settings page.
2. Click on My Apps option.
3. You’ll see the list of all installed apps on your device.
4. Now click on the app you which to enable or disable auto-update for.
5. When the app page opens, tap the 3-dot menu icon on the top-right corner of the screen.
6. Now check/uncheck the Auto-update option to set your update preference for that app.
